The Story Salon is an informal, monthly gathering of professionals in B.C.’s Lower Mainland who use story in their work. The idea is create an opportunity for story practitioners to get together “off the clock” to rant, rave, drink, dine - whatever. (It’s something like Green Drinks, if you’ve ever joined them).
There’s no agenda nor presentation. Everyone is welcome - from journalists and educators - to park interpreters and extreme programmers. You don’t need to be a story expert - just someone who appreciates the power and value of using story for something other than art & entertainment. Our goal is to be inclusive, collegial, inquisitive (and maybe even just a little fun!)
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Waazubee Cafe, 1622 Commercial Drive, just north of First Ave in Vancouver.
